Definitions of the indicators for monitoring a degree
- Cohort: First-year students in a given academic year.
- Enrolled credits: Number of credits enrolled by students. Does not include the credits of cancelled subjects.
- Difference from the degree average: Points of difference of the indicator from the average for all the subjects of the degree.
- Average duration of the course: Average number of years that students graduating in an academic year take to finish their degree.
- Enrolled students: Number of students enrolled for a course. Does not include students who have cancelled their enrolment for an entire academic year.
- Graduating students: Number of students who have completed their degree.
- Average subject score: Average score from the set of survey questions on the organization of the subject.
- Average lecturer score: Average score from the set of survey questions on the lecturers of the subject.
- Number of credits consumed: Sum of the number of credits for which graduates of an academic year have enrolled during their degree.
- Minimum number of credits students should have consumed: Sum of the minimum number of credits for which the graduates of an academic year should have enrolled.
- Access mark: Mark with which a student was admitted to the first year of the degree.
- New first-year students: Students enrolling for the first time in the first year and only for first-year courses. Does not include students who cancel enrolment for the entire academic year.
- Offer of places: Number of places offered in the first year of a degree, approved by the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia.
- Voluntary first-year dropout rate: Percentage of a cohort of students who have fulfilled the requirements of the first year but have dropped out after the first year.
- Voluntary dropout rate in second year and later: Percentage of a cohort of students who have dropped out after the second year.
- Permitted period dropout rate: Percentage of a cohort of students who have exceeded the permitted period for graduation.
- New bachelor's degree dropout rate: Percentage of a cohort of students who have enrolled a new EHEA bachelor's degree.
- Overall dropout rate: Percentage of a cohort of students who have not graduated and have not enrolled for the degree for at least two academic years for bachelor's degrees or one academic year for master“s degrees.
- Progress requirement dropout rate: Percentage of a cohort of students who have not met the minimum academic progress requirements of the degree.
- Efficiency rate: Ratio of the minimum number of credits for obtaining a degree and the credits for which graduates of a given academic year have enrolled in the course of their degree.
- Delay rate: Percentage of a cohort of students who are still enrolled in the degree after the minimum duration of the degree.
- Success rate: Percentage of credits obtained in relation to the total credits submitted to evaluation.
- Graduation rate in the expected time: Percentage of a cohort of students who finish their degrees in the minimum period or one year more.
- Overall graduation rate: Percentage of a cohort of students who finished their degrees.
- Participation rate in the surveys: Ratio of the number of responses to surveys to the students enrolled for a subject. When a subject is taught in more than one degree the number of surveys collected is divided proportionally to the enrolment for each degree; this is done only for the purpose of calculating this ratio.
- Performance rate: Percentage of credits obtained in relation to credits enrolled.
